Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemsitry Research | Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemsitry Research n.a. O.N. Sokolovskiy" (NSC ISSAR) has been established in 1956. For nearly fifty years it is playing a key role in the development of scientific basis for national and local programs directed to rational land management, soil conservation and maintaining soil fertility. In 2001 the Institute achievements have been acknowledged by the Presidential Decree trough which assigned the Institute its current status of the National Scientific Center.
Today the National Scientific Center "Institute for Soil Science and Agrochemistry Research" (NSC ISSAR) is the leading research institution in Ukraine undertaking fundamental and applied research on various issues related to soil science, agrochemistry and land conservation. It coordinates researches at branch institutions nationwide. NSC ISSAR has all the facilities, laboratory and computer equipment, as well as experimental sites, to perform research on up-to-date level. NSC ISSAR provides a wide range of services on expertise in applied soil science, sustainable land management, agrotechnologies, land quality assessment, soil monitoring and soil survey. It maintains a long-lasting collaboration with international organization such as IUSS, ISTRO, ESSC, ISCO, ISOFAR. Our scientists take part in the research teams of a number of international projects.
